About Me . . .

I have always wanted to be a teacher. My love of science and traveling propelled me into a career in Marine Science where my research focused on the potential for coral reef recovery in the face of climate change. After obtaining my PhD in Marine Ecology and amidst a growing young family, I transitioned into full-time teaching in effort to contribute to making a difference in the world through educating the next generation.

I love all kinds of music and have been an amateur DJ for the past 15 years and translated my love of music into experiential electronic music production classes for my students. I also love hiking and spending time in national and state parks across the US. My passion for adventure has led me to develop immersive field trips and experiential learning opportunities both pre-COVID and as an online educator.

I currently reside in Cincinnati, OH with my wife and our 3 young children.
